Habitat: At base of S. facing slope on gravelly bench just above drainage bottom with Populus angustifolius, Rhus aromatica ssp. trilobata, Descurainia sophia, Oenothera sp., Achnanatherum hymenoides, Linaria genistifolia ssp. dalmatica; clumpgrass; occasional.
Substrate: Quaternary terrace deposits derived from surrounding Precambrian granite hills and Tertiary intrusive volcanic rock
