Habitat: North-dipping slope of rocky brown volcanic clay. Community of Ericameria nauseosa, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Artemisia frigida & Bouteloua gracilis in openings in Pinus edulis-Juniperus scopulorum woodland.
Description: Rayless flower heads. Scattered plants, mostly growing within clumps of rabbitbrush.
